Saturday afternoon and Gunsmoke Sunday afternoon...
Wait, weren't they playing Sanford and Son all last night?

Yeah, but that again just shows how lazy the network is, someone
probably thought
"wait a minute its fathers day, shouldn't we have something along that
line?"
Instead of digging into the archives for some variety they just stuck
with the old
Sanford and Son reruns they have been doing for months now.
Such a lack of imagination.

Or, and bear with me here because this is much more likely, they
looked at the ratings for "Sanford" and thought that a whole weekend
of it would be great.

Reminds me of 15 years ago of Nick at Nite, which reveled in doing these
sorts of marathons!
Part of my old Nick at Nite collection has a Mother's Day with Lucy
marathon, which showed 5or 6 episodes of The Lucy Show. Even one year, they
included an episode in a Father's Day marathon, where Lucy tries to do
fatherly things for Jerry.
