Did anybody catch what that guy said, who rushed the podium and shouted
into the microphone while that Olympic official was talking during the
closing ceremonies last night? He was wearing a black T shirt that said
'Golden (something)' and seemed to be struggling quite a bit with
security, but I couldn't make out what he was shouting.
I was a bit shocked, frankly-how the HECK did that guy get so close to
the speaker?? He wasn't dangerous, but he very well could have been, and
he got all the way up to the speaker during the ceremony! If he'd had a
knife or a gun it would have been all over for the speaker. Very
embarassing for the event security...

I'd guess a Golden Palace.com guy probably aiming to streak or something.
They do it at lots of sporting events. 888.com streak a lot too.

I think you're right! Just found this at CNN.com:

TURIN, Italy (AP) -- In a startling security breach, an intruder got on
stage during Sunday's closing ceremony of the Turin Olympics.
The man approached the microphone during a speech by organizing
committee chief Valentino Castellani and shouted, "Passion lives in
Torino," the slogan of the games.
The man, identified by police as Spanish, was then whisked away by
security officers and taken into custody for questioning.
Castellani didn't seem fazed by the incident and continued his speech
uninterrupted.
The intruder was wearing a black T-shirt emblazoned with the name of an
online casino. Police said he had a Turin staff jacket, allowing him to
blend in with volunteers near the stage.
In a separate incident at the start of the ceremony, a female streaker
tried to run onto the stage but was turned back bysecurity.
On Friday, a male streaker with the online gambling company's name on
his chest ran out from the stands during the bronze medal curling match.<<

I suspect the casinos could get slapped with lawsuits for those antics.

If they wanted the product name to be seen, his _chest_ was a foot or
so too high. :-)

Ok you know the best way to stop anyone streaking every again.
Have the security and police do absolutly nothing. Middle of the superbowl,
100,000 people cheering the team and then some guy runs out streaking....got
his balls and his cock out and he's running all over the place....then two
minutes pass and no one's chasing him....another minute or so and he goes
from a steaker to a naked guy standing in the middle of the football
field....then another minute or so becomes the greatest moment when he has
to just stop and go back to his seat....
no one would ever streak again

I've seen that happen, I was at a Lord's Taverners Cricket Match who're a
social branch of the MCC, and the Taverners were playing a charity match
against someone like "ShowBiz XI", it was a hot summer Sunday and someone
got up and streaked, of course it being a charity match and most of the
audience were rather drunk and the police saw no need to do anything the
poor old streaker was left to wander around whilst the audience made drunken
references to his physique and after about 5 minutes he sheepishly returned
to his seat and put his clothes on
