Author Peter Benchley died today of pulmonary fibrosis. He was 65.

Sad.
The cause of pulmonary fibrosis is unknown.
And there's no cure for it.
Not even good treatments.
You just waste away.

But hows this for creepy?... This very afternoon, the Sci Fi channel was
running a marathon of Jaws sequels! And at the same time, Discovery was
running a two-hour episode of Mythbusters focused on Jaws-related shark
myths. Weird, huh?

Not really. It's Sweeps. Sharks are often featured during Sweeps.

Unless authors of shark-related novels also often die during sweeps, I
don't see how that makes this any less of a coincidence.

Well, how many authors of shark related Moby Dick rip-offs have died?
Seems like 100% of them went during sweeps.
:-)
Speaking of which, whatever happened to that longer (by like an hour)
extended version of THE DEEP?

Being coincidental doesn't equal being creepy.
