Theodore Kaldis...
I disagree with her politics, but this is extremely exciting. She's
far and away one of the finest actresses in the industry and
practically never does television. I wonder what convinced her to do
this one?

Sarandon in Need of 'Rescue'
Oscar winner will guest on FX series
March 6 2006

Susan SarandonLOS ANGELES --
Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon is preparing to set off a few
sparks with the guys from "Rescue Me" later this year.

Sarandon will guest-star in three episodes of the Emmy-nominated show's
third season, FX says. She'll play a character named Alicia, a rich
woman who becomes a love interest for ladies' man Franco (Daniel
Sunjata), who at the end of last season split with Laura (Diane Farr).

She manages to convince Franco that in the wake of that relationship,
an older woman might be just what she needs. Sarandon's first
appearance will come in episode two of the new season, which will
premiere in the summer.

Sarandon won an Oscar in 1996 for "Dead Man Walking" and has been
nominated four other times. She's also a two-time Emmy nominee for
guest appearances on "Friends" and "Malcolm in the Middle."

Her recent credits include "Elizabethtown," "Romance & Cigarettes" and
the Court TV movie "The Exonerated." She'll star in the comedy "Mr.
Woodcock" with Billy Bob Thornton and Seann William Scott later this
year.
