The WB's One Tree Hill, in their last episode, reenacted the Columbine
shooting and this is just for opinions if you think it is right that a
basically teenage drama is allowing such a tragedy to be viewed on TV.
Especially for those who lost loved ones in shooting, is it right that
they are allowing this type of viewing on national T.V.

First, it wasn't a reenactment by any stretch of the imagination. One person
got shot and wounded but not killed. The shooter was disaffected but didn't
come to school loaded for bear to kill a bunch of people. One assnine jock
pushed one of his buttons and he drew his automatic and fired at him hitting
Peyton. The Columbine dudes plotted to kill a bunch of people. They were
apparently disaffected as well. That's about the only thing they have in
common. Besides there have been shootings other than Columbine.
Second no matter what storyline you choose, someone dying of cancer, someone
killed in an accident, etc., there are going to be many people who have
loved ones that fit that scenario. Should we just not have TV shows at all?
Most people are mature enough to be able to face tragedy and heal with time.

No, but it *did* have a *huge* amount of overlap with "Degrassi:TNG's"
4th season school shooting episode(s).
Except "Degrassi" did it better. Much better.
I swear - someone from OTH must have seen the "Degrassi:TNG's" episodes
last year and thought, "Hey! We can rip this *exact* storyline off this
show for OTH! Except we'll use some guy no one's ever seen before, and
make him the shooter! And it'll be much 'talkier'! Yeah! That'll make it
better!!"
NOT.
Ian (Word to the wise - just skip the OTH version, and go right for the
"Degrassi" version (though it'll help immensely if you seen the
preceding 3rd & 4th season episodes first)...)

Don't stress over it - that show is soon to be a casualty of the UPN/WB
merger.
