I duuno I only was able to watch the first 15 minutes or so and was
absolutely bored to tears. The smarmy social worker and the mayor of
the mole people had no hook for me and B and B seemed to have nothing
special going on and so I was outta there. Did the ep get any better or
was it just a real stinker.

I'd say that it didn't turn out to be a stinker; it just wasn't
really any good either.

There have been a few eps that were marginal at best, while the rest
have been pretty good. My sister and niece are bigtime "Gilmore Girls"
and "Lost" fans and had never seen "Bones" because it was up against
one or the other of those until last week. She told me she intended to
watch it when "Lost" was slated to be a repeat a while back, and the
ep happened to be the one where they found the woman burned up in her
car and her son missing, culprits turned out to be the defense
contractor her husband was due to testify against for making inferior
body armor. The next day my sister told me she tried to watch it but
it sucked in her opinion, but that ep ranked with this week's as a
kind of disconnect from the rest of the show. It had some decent stuff
in it, with the interplay between Bones and Booth about children and
being a parent, etc., but it would be a hard ep for anyone who wasn't
already familiar with the characters to get interested in. The ep the
following week about the kid who wrote the comic book was much better,
but by then my sister was back to watching "Lost" and couldn't care
less. I'll have to try to get her to watch it again and maybe she'll
catch a good one this time.

It wasn't priceless. It wasn't one of the art objects. It was just a
seal that fell off the vault door.

Unfortunately, the photograph on the research website was the *exact*
painting, not a copy. While Basil Exposition (err, Bones's boss)

The DVR won't tell you whether a painting on the show is original or a

noted as he was reading the website that the artist had done a series
of studies of the portrait subject, a series that the painting in
question was a part of, the painting shown on the site was the exact
painting that had been allegedly missing since 1862, on display in
laws-of-physics-defying color.

It got better. Once Bones got her gun, it was all good.

So the place where the black guy was 'supposed to be' was back where they found him? I'm being vague to not spoil it. But the dialogs and actions made it seem like the dude was going to get a job someplace, like at a nursery or something.

He was still doing his penance for shooting the mother. Not that he did
anything wrong.
