What did I "revise"? Nowhere in my post does it say the international BB
format definitively could not work here. I said you're the only person I've
ever seen who actually misses it here. I don't think it's a stretch to
believe that the few people who actually watched BB1 (but have never seen
international versions of the show) are not clamoring for a return to that
format. If they were to cast a proper set of oddballs and screw-ups there's

yeah thats what I'm assuming but the way I've seen people refer to the teams
online it's as if it will have some relevance to the gameplay of the
house....

I just used that term because that was how they described it. I do
think there's a good possibility that alliances will have been formed
long before the house mates enter the BB house. That could make the
game pretty boring if the producers don't take action to make sure the
game isn't rigged ahead of time.

I watched BB1 and am definitely not clamoring for a return to that
format, so I agree with you. It was like watching paint dry.
I think the "revisionist" here is IJB. His memories are fond but
that's because they're fuzzy, which often happens. Look at early

They're only somewhat fond of BB1's cast.
But they are definitely fonder of the format - BB1 was the only one that
"got" what BB was supposed to do: BB is not supposed to be HG vs. HG,
it's supposed to be PRODUCERS VS. HGs!
|
SNL, most of which sucked, but people always say that it was so
much better back then.
I have always appreciated what Shapiro and Grodner have done for
the show. I think it wouldn't have lasted past 2 seasons if it

Well, that pretty much says everything, doesn't it?

stayed the same as BB1.

no reason the format couldn't work here. Yes, I said it didn't translate
well, but I went on to state in my post that casting was the major issue.
Ultimately, it's all moot. They're not changing the format. In the US it's
a protracted game show and that's how it's going to remain until Grodner and
co. go the way of the dodo.

The CBS Big Brother website accidently revealed the 20 contestants who will
possibly go into the house this summer. It seems the CBS website was
testing out it's voting system and accidently published it on the real site
for a few minutes. The list was quickly removed and then replaced with
another list shortly after. The second list however has many flaws
including 2 housemates who are out of the country. The first list has been
all but confirmed with some housemates commenting on it and Alison from BB4
specifically confirming a good vrs evil team split.
The list of houseguests is:
Alison (BB4 runner up)
Bunky (BB2)
Dana (BB4)
Danielle (BB3 - runner Up)
Diane (BB5)
Erika (BB4)
George (BB1)
Casey McDonald's Guidance Counsellor, Ian J. Ball...
|
I called it - just one BB1'er represented (and I bet they almost went
with 0).
Tell you what, BB - if you ever go back to the BB1 format, let me know.
Otherwise, I'll be looking elsewhere for Summer entertainment...

Howie (BB6)
Ivette (BB6 Runner Up)
James (BB6)
Janelle (BB6)
Jase (BB5)
Kaysar (BB6)
Lisa (BB3 - WINNER)
Marcellas (BB3)
Michael (BB5)
Mike (BB2)
shawn...

But Ivette would be so easy to play given how she reacted in the last
Big Brother.
|
Monica (BB2)
Nakomis (BB5)
shawn...
|
But wasn't Nakomis one the few players to have a real strategy? Why
wouldn't you want someone like that in the game?
|
Major ChrisB...
|
Some of them will go in.
According to Alison the evil team is:
Evil: Alison, Danielle, Ivette, James, Jase, Mike, Will, Dana, Erika,

-wonder if Maggie still has a 'thing' for Cappy?
|
Michael
which leaves the good as:
Bunky, Diane, George, Howie, Janelle, Kaysar, Lisa, Marcellas, Monika,
Nakomis.

too many people that I don't know. I've only watched the last few BBs
so most of those people are unknown to me.
|
From Evil I'd put in:
Alison, Dani, Ivette, James, Mike, Dr Will and Erika
From Good I'd go:
Bunky, Diane, Janelle, Kaysar, Howie and Lisa
which basically makes it a house full of BB6 contestants but James, Kaysar
and Howie are very good friends on the outside, James hates Ivette and Diane
was way more evil than Danielle....so if they're not forced into these
specific teams once their in the house then the good/evil mix will happen
quickly....Will, Kaysar, Danielle and James were all master strategists in
the game, Erika, Bunky, Mike and Lisa got through more for being friends
with the right people.
shawn...
|
That would be fun if they mix up the teams. Makes it much more
enjoyable for the viewers than a situation where the teams are nailed
down before the game even starts.
|
Marcellas will probably get into the house too as CBS will be picking some
of the housemates to ensure a fair balance and he works for them....I hated

|
How can they have Marcellas without Amy?
Major ChrisB...
|
Amy got married a couple of weeks ago....not relevant but just FYI
Patricia Martin Steward...
|
I'm betting they met at an AA meeting.

|
Marcellas
shawn...
|
Don't know him so I don't care.
|
|
Will (BB2 - WINNER)
Of course there are two Mike's, Michael's and Wills but the numbers seem to
indicate that my lables above are correct. the other Mike was first out,
the other Michael was 2nd out and the other Will wouldn't exactly be a
memorable all star,...
Basically the teams will be split into Good and Evil based on their
characters in their previous seasons, then the phone lines will open and an
equal number of people from the good and evil sides will be selected to go
into the house.
Patrick Joseph Mc Namara...

Maybe they want him to co-host the show.
