I've not been able to catch the last two weeks of The
Unit
has it been any good?

I've enjoyed it. Though I wonder if they are looking to trim the cast
some given the last couple of eps. You can download the eps off the
net if you want to see how the last two weeks (four eps) have gone.

Download from where tho? Link?

I hope they trim the female half. The wives are really killing the show, and
if they have as much "wife" time next year I may not watch.

I disagree. Last night's finale really brought the two halves of the
show together: Just as the men all cover for each other to keep their
missions secret from their wives, the wives are now all covering for
each other to keep their own private lives secret from their husbands.

You must have missed this essential point, because you go on to ask:

I'm hoping Tiffy Gerhardt is dead. This way, Mack doesn't have to
leave The Unit and maybe Ryan won't get fragged. I replayed my DVD
after I recorded the finale and find all of the men accounted for and

Off topic....
What brand and model recording equip are you using to
time shift this program?
Do you have a DVD burner only? Or a unit with hard
drive in it?

none of the wives accounted for.
Someone in another forum asked, "Who took the half-naked photo of Ryan
and Tiffy?" Good question. Anyone have any ideas? And why in God's
name did the new Mrs Ryan give "evidence" of the affair to the woman
who could use it to get her new husband killed/ruined for life?

I thought "he" was holding the camera with one hand? (not positive
though) I thought it pretty dumb for him to take such a picture.
Fairly hot pic though, I hope they both enjoyed (in real life) posing
for it.
I actually watched both episodes last night and while both had some
very irritating stretches, overall I found them entertaining.
Stuff I found amusing/interesting:
When the 2 FBI bomb guys go back at the end of the epsiode because
they are confident they can deactivate it - "BOOM"
There's more but I forget.
Stuff I found irritating:
When the wife at the resort was about ready to stomp out and then she
gets to play junior secret agent.
There's more but I forget.

You must have missed the rest of the episode. Mrs. Ryan knows how the
wives of The Unit behave. Tiffy would never blackmail Col. Ryan because
a) she still loves him and hopes he'll change his mind about her, and b)
it's not good for The Unit.

Tiffy doesn't love Colonel Ryan. Tiffy is a danger junkie just like
her husband. Tiffy likes provoking and manipulating to get her kicks.
Did you she the episode where she tried to provoke her husband to hit
her? (Had nothing to do with Ryan.) She likes living on the edge.
Did you see the episode where she just showed up in DC where Ryan knew
a lot of people and his part in the affair could be discovered? She
likes the control she has to make her men squirm but most of all she
craves the danger and control. She knows quite well that Ryan could be
killed because of his affair with her and/or dismissed from his job.
She probably lives for the possibility (but not the reality) of two men
coming to blows over her. She doesn't care about anyone except Tiffy.
Although we don't know this, I bet she married her husband after she
found out what he did for a living. And you know what? When her
husband is in his ROTC teaching job just to please her, she'll be too
bored to stay with him, anyway.
I was kind of hoping sh'd step out of the PX and walk in front of a
moving tank but if she's dead when the dust clears when Season 2 gets
underway I won't be crying. And, I hope Mack stays with The Unit. I
like that character, a lot.

All in the name of Unit cohesion.
Showing the "band of brothers" out there in foreign countries fighting
terrorists while the "band of sisters" are back here doing their own
thing makes a nice counterpoint.

I haven't seen a single wife scene. I'll tell you my secret. I only
watch the torrents and skip all the wives scenes. Better than fast
forwarding a tape, because I don't even have to watch them in fast
motion.

Spoiler:
The first episode last night was a hoot. The wife was helping her husband
apprehend a spy while the rest of the unit was trying to understand and
diffuse a possible dirty bomb/nuclear bomb in an Atlanta highrise. How the
unit can always be onhand for an emergency anywhere is amazing, especially
since the bomb was on a timer albeit a long one. And now with the wives also

I also thought it was interesting that they have the necessary
expertise to handle the most complex bomb. Even more so than the
experts that the FBI brought in. Guys that live and breath bombs on a
day to day basis the same way the members of the unit live and
breathe unit tactics against hostile forces. I guess that's why the
members are on the unit. They are better than everyone else at
everything. :)

operating as intelligence operatives, it's really grand. If you can't tell,
I'm being sarcastic. Unfortunately that's what happened. I didn't bother to
watch the season ender that followed. The inclusion of the wives is making a
mockery of the whole concept imo.

At least let's admit that the one wife didn't know there was an
operation going on, and she wasn't a bit pleased when she found out
about it. Though I do have to wonder why they would use a unit member
for what was nothing more than a recon mission. Any CIA agent could
have done the same thing. (I know it's a TV show and so everything
revolves around the unit.) Also they managed to get the wives included
in the unit's work in the season finale when an enemy comes after them
at home. It seems likely that all of the unit members will be okay,
but I expect a wife or two won't make it. Perhaps that blonde wife
will pass away so the one unit member can stay in and they remove the
one bit of tension that exists between the Unit and the wives's.
